When you visit Burnt Well it’s common to gain a few new skills and a few extra pounds.  We’re not talking currency either.  Patricia’s cooking is one of the best aspects about your stay with us!  However, you’re likely to become a sufferer of RFW* once you’ve returned home.  Ranch Food Withdrawal is a common side effect and if you find yourself in the throes of RFW, here’s a recipe for temporary relief.  For full relief a return visit to Burnt Well is recommended.  Enjoy!

RELLENO RECIPE PIC

INGREDIENTS

– Freshly roasted green chiles, peeled and seeded

– Grated cheese (Patricia uses a blend of Mexican cheeses)

– 2 eggs

– 1/2 cup flour

– 2 cups milk

DIRECTIONS

Preheat oven to 350-375 degrees.  Grease a 9×13 baking dish and line the bottom of the dish with whole chiles.  Layer a generous amount of grated cheese on top of the chiles.  Beat together eggs, flour, and milk.  Pour over the cheese and bake until set and the edges begin to brown, usually about 30-40 minutes.

*When we say RFW, we are only referring to our made up term of Ranch Food Withdrawal.  Please don’t confuse this with Ragdoll Fanciers Worldwide (although we do like cats) or any other abbreviation, such as Request For Waiver, or Ready For War.  If you are feeling Ready For War, please submit a Request For Waiver with your employer and come to Burnt Well for some Rest and Relaxation.
