The Casita Vacation Rental
The Chesser Ranch Casita Retreat is the perfect single, couple, or family retreat, when a full-service dude ranch stay at Burnt Well is not available or what you’re after.
The Casita is a great place to stay when you just want to kick back to enjoy the wide open spaces, sit and read, hike or bicycle. Or use it as a home base while you’re out exploring all that New Mexico has to offer.
Accommodations
The Casita vacation rental features:
- 600 square foot guest cabin with a fully equipped kitchen—don’t forget your food, it’s a long way to the grocery store!
- BBQ grill, charcoal or gas (steaks or other available cuts of our own Chesser natural beef or lamb for purchase based on availability)
- Accommodations for up to six people with a queen size bed, a queen size sleeper sofa and two twin beds in the loft
- Covered porch, picnic table and outdoor campfire pit
- Full bath
- Washer & dryer
- TV, VCR and a DVD player & WiFi (if desired, many of our guests want to unplug, our internet service is only adequate, remember we are rural!)
- ( casita rental terms: does not include airport transfer, meals, groceries or activities. You will want to be sure to have your groceries purchased before leaving the last town, as it’s an hour drive to any of the nearest stores.)

Vacation Rental Details
- Horseback rides are available by appointment for $50 per hour/person with a two-hour minimum, by appointment only within a week of your arrival
- (no rides available on Sundays)
- Please be aware that there is no cell phone service—unless you walk to the top of the hill or have WIFI calling capabilities
