We thought there was quite a bit of progress made this past week, but the pictures don’t really show much! Maybe it’s wishful thinking or we’re imagining it? Regardless, we’ll try keep our rose colored glasses on!
The flooring is officially completed throughout the entire house. I think unplugging and rearranging everything in the office, while trying to keep it somewhat operational was the biggest chore! John Neil, who came on the Fall cattle drive in 2009 and Jim Bradburn, who came with his family last summer, are the two workhorses who put the flooring in. They did an awesome job!
The ceilings have also been redone, repaired, or retextured in every room except the guest bedroom and bath. Not much of a wow factor, but we can still count it as completed!
The exhaust hood above stove has been completely framed in and textured, and Patricia has started staining the cabinets. The cabinet doors should be here on Thursday and the countertops will be here on Friday! Several of you know Mike Murczec from previous cattle drives, and he will be here in about two weeks to finish the plumbing in the kitchen and master bath. It feels like the end is in sight!
